Advanced First Aid Training in Bundoora

HLTAID014 - Provide Advanced First Aid course equips individuals with the skills to manage high-risk emergencies, including multiple casualty incidents and life-threatening conditions, in both workplace and community settings.

This course includes

  • HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR),

  • HLTAID010 - Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, and

  • HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid to ensure comprehensive emergency response training.

  • Performing CPR and AED use – Deliver life-saving interventions for adults, children, and infants.

  • Advanced first aid techniques – Treat hypothermia, hyperthermia, head, neck, and spinal injuries.

Training Options

  • Face-to-Face Training – 16 hours.

  • Online with Face-to-Face Assessment – 6 hours.

Entry Requirements

  • Must meet physical requirements, including 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR.

  • Internet access required for pre-course study (if applicable).

Assessment Requirements

  • Practical Scenarios:

    • Perform CPR on an adult and infant, including AED use and recovery position.

    • Manage casualties with anaphylaxis, asthma, choking, bleeding, fractures, dislocations, sprains, strains, and envenomation.

    • Respond to a life-threatening bleed and complete incident reports.

    • Coordinate a multiple casualty incident.

  • Theory assessment: Multiple-choice written assessment.

Certification & Renewal

Recommended renewal every 36 months.
